Improve air circulation with our F.A.D.E. method

If you’ve walked into a room, taken a deep breath, and immediately smelled something dirty, stagnant, or otherwise warm, you’re likely familiar with stale air. This is usually caused from poor ventilation and circulation, but there’s good news: With four ventilation products, your circulation problems will F.A.D.E. away.

Fans

Ceiling fans, box fans, oscillating fans – all fans are good fans! They help to circulate air that becomes stale by either pushing or pulling the air around the room. They work even better when strategically placed around your home so that air is moving in a circular direction instead of air being pushed back and forth between the fans.

Attic

While many people don’t have proper ventilation in their attics, adding fans and vents in one of the least-frequented spots in your home can be a huge benefit to your home’s circulation. Stale air sitting in your attic has the opportunity to escape into the home, making you sick. With ridged or gable vents installed, you can enjoy better ventilation that you’ll notice.

Dehumidifiers

Living in the south, humidity is a constant issue. Adding a dehumidifier in the rooms you hang out in the most will reduce humidity, increase airflow, and reduce allergens and pollutants. If your home has the opposite problem, especially during months where the heat is on, a humidifier can also provide necessary water vapor to combat stale air.

Exhaust

Exhaust fans are a separate category from standard fans mentioned earlier because they are more frequently used for ventilation. Any time you flip a switch in your bathroom or above the stove and hear that familiar whirring, indoor air is being pushed out of the house as fresh, outdoor air is pulled in. If you notice poor circulation in your bathroom or kitchen specifically, you may need to replace the exhaust fan.

While fans, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and some ventilation can be completely DIY, McCoy’s is always here to help. Reach out to us today for questions about your home’s circulation.
