High Efficient Energy Saving Air Conditioners and Furnaces
High efficient furnaces and air conditioners will save utility cost and normally have better warranties. The units are also designed to be a more comfortable fit for the occupants of the home or office.
Air balance is important to the home to ensure that temperature is even throughout the space. This is accomplished with proper sizing of the trunk line and balancing dampers installed in the run outs. Rooms that are smaller such as bathrooms or small bedrooms may require less air, and larger rooms with large windows or doors that lead to outdoors will require more air. Installing dampers allows us to customize airflow in all areas of the home.
Programmable thermostats, when properly setup and used can save as much as 30% of the cooling or heating cost in that system.
We use only the highest quality supplies from our suppliers such as stick-on takeoff collars with gaskets to ensure the most air tight duct system possible.
Properly Sized equipment and Duct Systems
At McCoy's, duct systems are designed to fit each home individually. Manual J loads are done to determine the size of the equipment to be installed, and the required airflow on a room by room basis if required.
The ultimate filter is the AccuClean system. The cutting edge filter removes 99.8% of air borne particulate down to .3 micron. It works similar to the electronic filter but delivers more than 40% more clean air with a new design in the way the ionizing grids are made. These filters charge 100% of the particles passing through the grid and collect in a newly designed cell.
Humidifiers are installed in the supply ductwork and introduce moisture in the winter when humidity levels are low in the building. Some people are sensitive to low humidity levels. When the humidity levels drop it can become difficult to breathe. Buildings and homes with ornate woodwork may need humidifiers so that when moisture levels get low the wood won't lose its shape. A good humidity levels is 35% to 45% where people live.
The AccuExchange™ Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) unit provides a controlled way for your house to bring in needed outside air to make the house a safer, cleaner space to live in. Outside air is needed to replace air being removed by bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans, central vacuum systems and fireplaces.
Their is a tax credit for equipment installed through the 2010 tax year. Ask your Comfort Specialist.
